![]() Obligatory Irish Hiking Scarf
I wanted to try my hand at knitted cabling. And I wanted to make my husband a scarf for Christmas out of the Paton's classic merino wool Michael's has been kind enough to start stocking (yay!). And then I came across the scarf pattern every knitter on the internet has used by now: Irish Hiking Scarf from Hello Yarn. It was fun and relatively easy. I learned the "cabling without cable needles" method after a quick google, and then I took my time, and got it to about 5 feet in over the course of week or so. It was well received, and might even get worn when the temperatures dip down below 40 again.
